About Us

We work by hand. Cutting and straightening the shank, shaping and dressing the handle in horn or wood, fitting and finishing, step by step, with patience. It is honest, absorbing work, and that is where the difference from a machine-made stick lies.

We enjoy a dressed crook most of all. Shaping and dressing a horn handle onto a good shank is the best work there is.

We are a small workshop making sticks and crooks by hand. To us a stick is more than a shank: straightened, fitted and dressed by hand from hazel and horn, it suits the hand, it lasts and it is a pleasure to carry. That is what our work is about.
